About Amanda

Amanda Rebecca grew up in a town by the name of Gurnee, Illinois. At a young age, her parents purchased a baby grand piano and as soon as Amanda was old enough to reach the keys, she was playing songs by ear. Her parents fostered her love of music, so she began taking piano lessons in grade school. Soon she was participating in honors recitals, guilds, and various other platforms where she performed classical music from the likes of Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Joplin, and many others.

After high school, Amanda’s love of music only grew stronger and she began using social media to post videos performing various songs. One particular video got over 6 millions views, thus gaining the attention of many local music artists. She soon joined her first official band, Charlie Foxtrot, as a keyboardist. Amanda was smitten with the lead singer of this band (Christopher Duell), and within a few years they were singing songs together at their own wedding.

After diving into the live music scene, Amanda soon realized she had a new passion: singing. She and her Husband joined an 80s band called The Breakfast Club, and began performing several times a week, sometimes traveling to different states for their gigs.

In March of 2020, the devastating pandemic hit and brought the music industry to a halt. During this time, Amanda began live streaming in a popular group called Quarantine Karaoke. She was soon featured on their Christmas Album, Given a Merchandise line, and even discovered by the recording academy and featured as a virtual audience member on the 2020 Grammy Awards. Her social media presence grew exponentially thanks to the incredible music lovers in her life.

In recent months, Amanda joined an acoustic duo by the name of Amanda Rebecca and Ned Nighthawk, is performing again with The Breakfast Club, has performed with Euphoria Band Chicago, The Shagadelics, After Party Band Chicago, The Young Guns, and sometimes hosts Live Band Karaoke in Chicago. She also performs solo acts and has done several piano-only gigs.

The sky is the limit, and she will continue following her dreams and passion for music. Every single audience member she gets to perform for is important, as music is an experience that we all share together.
